Titanium Pipe Fittings

Titanium is widely used in various industries such as chemical equipment, offshore power generation, seawater desalination, shipbuilding, and electroplating due to its low density, lightweight nature, high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, and good weldability. Its corrosion resistance is approximately 1.5 times higher than that of stainless steel, and its service life is about twice as long.

The following are the main classifications of titanium pipe fittings and their corresponding English names:

  • Titanium Elbows
Used to change the direction of fluid flow within a piping system. Common angles include 45°, 90°, and 180°. They can be manufactured according to ASME B16.9 or ASME B16.11 standards and are available in various sizes and wall thicknesses.
  • Titanium Reducers
Used to connect pipes of different diameters. They are available in concentric and eccentric types to meet various piping layout requirements.
  • Titanium Tees
Used to connect three pipes at right angles for fluid distribution. According to ASTM B363 WPT2 and ASME SB16.9 standards, they can be classified into straight tees, reducing tees, and straight crosses.
  • Titanium Pipe Fittings
This category includes various types such as socket weld fittings, butt weld fittings, and threaded fittings. They are widely used in pipeline connection and control systems.
  • Titanium Flanges
Used to connect pipes, valves, and other equipment to form a complete piping system. Flanged connections offer a simple structure and reliable sealing performance.
  • Titanium Forged Fittings
Preferred for applications requiring high connection strength and durability, the forging process enhances the mechanical strength and overall toughness of the fittings.

Additionally, there are other types of titanium fittings, including:

  • Stub Ends: Used to connect flanges to pipes.
  • Caps: Used to close the end of a pipe.
  • Couplings: Used to connect two pipes together.
  • Plugs: Used to block an opening in a pipe.

Leveraging their lightweight strength and excellent corrosion resistance, titanium pipe fittings are widely used in fields such as water treatment, seawater desalination, power generation, marine chemical processing, and oil & gas exploration. They are particularly indispensable in industries with stringent corrosion resistance requirements, including aerospace, chemical processing, oil & gas, and marine engineering.
